Big Boy Underwear

Today Jake said he wanted "undies" like mine. I took him to the store and let him pick out "Big Boy Underwear". He thought carefully, almost selected Bob the Builder, but then decided on the Elmo package. He held them through the store and handed them to the lady at the checkout. He was very proud and was saying "big boy underwear". After his nap, his Daddy helped him put them on. He was so excited and believe it or not he kept them dry all evening. We put him on the potty two times and he peed both times. He gets an M & M when he goes which is a good motivator for him! He's still pretty young to be potty trained, but we'll see what happens!

Snow Days!

We had two snow storms this week so we took full advantage and spent a lot of time outside playing in the snow. Jake loved it - except that his mittens wouldn't stay on! I was really hoping to have one good snow so Jake could see what it was like to play in it, but now, I'm ready for Spring!!! Check out our pictures of Jake, Josh, and me having fun.

I Love Stickers!

Thanks, Grammy and Poppy for the "Thomas the Train" stickers in my Valentine's card. I started by putting them all on a paper, then I put them on the wall, and then I put them on my Mommy's and my face. That was the best!

Swimming!

Jake loves the indoor pool at the Y. Jake loved pouring water back and forth between containers, blowing bubbles, and splashing. Mike, Josh, and I had a great time going down the water slide. We couldn't believe how fast it was! Of course, Mike and Josh spent most of their time wrestling in the pool. Check out this short video of Jake.

Teeth!

When Jacob smiles, like his Daddy, his teeth don't show very much. He was really trying to show them when he smiled today. It was too funny!

12 Week Ultrasound

My doctor did another ultrasound at my 12 week appointment because he knew it would be fun for me to see how much the baby had developed in only 4 weeks. The difference was amazing! You could see it's arms and legs and it was moving all over the place. It even put it's hand up to it's face a couple of times. I have thought I've felt it move a few times in the past week. It is not typical at this stage, but now that I know what it feels like to feel a baby move inside of you I'm pretty convinced that I really did feel it. We'll have another ultrasound at 18 weeks and we should be able to find out if it is a boy or girl then. We can't wait! I know these pictures can be hard to figure out what is what, but hopefully you can see the baby's face looking down and to the right.

Hanging out with my little buddy, Graham

Natalie, Barrett, and Graham came to visit us last weekend.

Jake could hardly eat dinner because he was so into seeing "baby".

"Baby's are neat, look at these little fingers" "What are those sounds coming from the baby?" Notice Graham's grin and you can probably guess what was going on!
"I just love Barrett, he lets me ride on his back!"

Trip to the Newport Acquarium

We met Jennifer, Dan, and Braden last Saturday at the Newport Acquarium. The boys loved it! Jake's favorite was the big sea turtle. He still talks about the sharks, fish, turtle, and snake. We'll definitely have to go back! See more pictures from our trip to the Acquarium.

Being Silly

I cut Jake's hair Saturday morning and then gave him a bath. He was in a silly mood afterwards so I took a few pictures of him having a dance party. He was clapping and having a blast acting silly dancing and falling down.
