38 Week Check-up

I had a check-up this morning and have not dilated any more than the 1 cm I was at last week's check-up. So...still waiting until our little one is ready to come. I had false labor on Saturday that didn't amount to anything. Bummer! I'm feeling pretty good overall despite the swelling and almost constant feeling of having to pee! :-) Many of you have asked if we're keeping her name a secret. The answer is "no" but we haven't decided 100%. We are leaning towards one of the following right now: Emma Grace or Grace Elizabeth. We are all so excited to finally meet her. Waiting is the hardest part!

Playdate with High School Friends

Nadia came into town and had a playdate for our high school girlfriends and babies. It was fun to see everyone! Check out some pictures Nadia took. Here's a picture of me with Charlie, Nadia's new little man. Isn't he adorable!?

36 Week Ultrasound & Check-up

We had an Ultrasound today and according to the measurements the computer says our "little" girl is 7 pounds 1 ounce. They gain 1/2 pound every week from here on out, so it looks like she should be a nice and healthy size whenever she decides to come. Everything is fine that they checked (placenta, fluid, etc.) so there will be no need to hurry the process up unless she doesn't come for several more weeks and gets really big. I hope that's not the case! We got a few pictures, but they were really dark and hard to see so probably not worth posting. It was fun to see her now that she's big and fully developed. We can't wait to see her in person! It will be exciting to see what/who she looks like!!! The waiting continues...

4th of July at Lakeside

We went to Lakeside for the 4th of July and had a great time with my dad's side of the family (he is the oldest of 5). We even entered the Lakeside 4th of July parade. We threw some decorations on a golf cart and jumped in line waving to all the people. We forgot to buy candy to throw, but next year we'll have our act together. :-)

Jake's highlight was put-put golf. We went the first time with Hope and Dean, Mike and Rebecca, Mimi and Grandpa, and Great Grammy. Jake seemed to like it. The next day he announced it was "Golf Course Time". Mike and I took him down to the course and he got his first hole in one all by himself!!! We couldn't believe it. He's been putting around with his crappy plastic clubs since we've been home and is still talking about the golf course.

Unfortunately, the fireworks were "too loud" for Jake and he asked to "go home" when they started up. Maybe next year he'll get to enjoy them.
