Bathing Beauty

Here are a couple of recent pictures of Grace enjoying a bath. Also, I am including to some pictures of Jake taking a bath around the same age. It's funny to see how different they're starting to look. :-)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As you can see from the lack of posts in the last couple of weeks, we've been busy! We had a wonderful Christmas despite a stomach bug making its way through our family! We especially enjoyed watching Jake's excitement build as Christmas neared and his delight in finding some toys left for him under the tree Christmas morning! Grace also enjoyed her first Christmas and we feel so blessed to have such a sweet and happy baby girl. She is the best gift we received this year! Here are a few highlights from our Christmas... Santa made a surprise appearance at the Williams' Christmas Party!
Jake could not have been more excited...he said "Yook, everyone, Yook!" as he jumped up and down.

Festival of Lights and Dinner at Weisenborn's

Last Saturday, we went to Festival of Lights along with everyone else in this city! It was so packed we were only able to ride the train. Then we had a great time at the Weisenborn's for a gourmet dinner....well, until Mike came down with the flu and we had to bolt! We have all pretty much had a bout with the flu. Jake's symptoms seem to come and go and he even complained today of not feeling well. Hopefully we'll all be past this soon!

Tis the Season!

I am trying to learn how to take good indoor shots without having to use the flash on my camera so it looks a little more natural. These pictures are just me playing around with my camera. Luckily I have good subjects to practice on...

More Birthdays!?

Yes, practically everyone in our family has a November birthday! I was the last one on the 25th. My mom and Christina took me and Grace out to lunch in Hyde Park and Ken and Bev treated me to dinner that evening. It was a fabulous birthday! Then...on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, our family went out to celebrate ALL the November birthdays. Matt, Lindsay, and the Johnson family all met us. It was fun!

Uncle Kevin's 50th Birthday

We went to Carmel, Indiana on November 22 to celebrate Uncle Kevin's 50th birthday. We had a great time spending time with some of my family. Here are some of our pictures...

Mason Fire Station

Today, we visited the Mason Fire Station. My neighbor, Lisa, organized the visit for a few other moms and our kiddies, mostly 2-3 year olds. It was really great. A fire fighter named Beth did an awesome job on the kids program. They learned about fire safety, saw the rooms where the fire fighters sleep, eat, and hang out. Then, we got to see the fire trucks and ambulences! They asked me to sneak away from the group and put on Beth's fire suit, complete with oxygen tank and mask. What an experience! They wanted to teach the children not to be scared of fire fighters. I came out and Jake was the most scared of me. He didn't want to get close at all. When they started taking off the helmet and mask, it was hilarious to see his face realizing it was me! He and the other kids thought that was pretty cool! Thanks to the fire fighters and paramedics for all you do to keep us safe! Also, thanks, Lisa, for organizing this fun trip.
