Red's Game

Mike and I took Jake to a Red's game and had a blast! Jake really enjoyed it except for the fact that the Red's would not hit him a ball. I know, how rude! He would yell for them to hit him a ball and then he'd get mad and say "They're not listening!" The game was pretty exciting and went to extra innings, but unfortanetly the Red's couldn't pull through.

Mmmm, Lemon Chill
Rosie!
"...And it's 1, 2, 3 strikes your out!..."
Who's that Reds in the middle!?

Boating

We had a fun evening on Mimi and Grandpa's boat at Ceasar's Creek. It was Grace's first time on the boat (outside the womb...ha ha!) Jake loved driving and Grace liked everything except wearing a life jacket!

Warren County Fair

Jake had been asking when the fair was coming since it left last summer. Finally, it was here! We went one night with the Heaps and had a great time. The kids all got a pony ride, we checked out some animals, and enjoyed the fabulous fair food....mmmm! Grace and Jake loved the funnel cakes!

Fishing!

We had fun a couple of weekends ago fishing at a friend's pond.
Mike caught pretty many, but Jake and I didn't have much luck!
It was nice spending time together... just the 4 of us!

Matt & Lindsay are Engaged!

My little brother, Matt, just got engaged to Lindsay Nahrup. Yeah! We are really excited for both of them and thrilled to have Lindsay join the family. Their wedding is planned for May 30, 2o10 in Annapolis, Maryland at the Naval Academy chapel. It's going to be beautiful and I'm sure a ton of fun! Jake and Grace will be in the wedding as well as Mike and I. I can't wait to see the kids all dressed up!

Lakeside & 4th of July

I took the kids up to Lakeside to spend some time with family. Unfortunately, Mike couldn't come because he was busy working. We stayed 3 nights and had a lot of fun doing the typical Lakeside things...playing (lots of) putt-putt, getting donuts from the Patio, eating ice cream, and playing on the playground. The lake was a little rough so we didn't end up going on the boat, but that's OK because we can do that around here.
Friday evening, Christina, Matt, Lindsay, my mom, Lilly, Jake, Grace, and I all headed to the African Safari. It is a park you drive through and feed the animals from your car. As always it was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs! Jake and Grace were both a little afraid, but Lilly was fearless! Jake eventually made friends with a llama and overcame his fear.
On Saturday, we decorated the stroller and were in the Lakeside 4th of July parade. I kept telling Jake to wave to all the people and say "Happy 4th of July". I didn't think to tell Grace, but at one point I looked down at her and she was waving to everyone with both hands!

Wrightsville Beach, NC

We had lots of fun at Wrightsville Beach. We spent 2 days at the Beach. We celebrated Father's Day there and had a great dinner at a fun place by the water. Unfortunately, Jake picked up a virus there so we drove home a day early.

Evening stroll on the beach...Grace's first time on the beach!

Happy Father's Day!
We are so thankful for our Daddy. He's the best!
We are also thankful to have 2 awesome Grandpa's!
